Premonitions aren’t new to the series, and in each movie there’s a character (usually a female) who has some psychic phenomena regarding the Creeper. The film will focus on Laine, who joins her boyfriend Chase during the event, when she starts having visions of the Creeper. The film will be set in Louisiana during an event known as the Horror Hound Festival, where fans of horror will be in attendance in mass. The film doesn’t have a specific release date but its stated that the film will be released in the fall. There hasn’t been a casting list out yet and it’s unclear if Johnathan Breck will reprise his role as the titular creature. It’s unclear how much this film will fit into the continuity of the original trilogy as this movie will be the first in a new trilogy. The script will be written by Sean Michael Argo, who’s filmography includes a number of B-movies.

However, it was confirmed that a fourth film was in development with a new team and a new direction. With controversy surrounding the writer/director’s 1980s conviction for child molestation and a third film that was not only panned by fans but a total flop at the box office, it seemed as if the horror icon would never see the big screen again. Like many horror film series, it looked as if the Jeepers Creepers series had finally been laid to rest.
